November 2021 Community Letter

Hello Simbians!
As Thanksgiving approaches in the US, we’re thankful to Simbi’s worldwide community of members, donors, and volunteers that keep us humming along on our mission to provide the best mutual aid platform ever!
|
Giving Tuesday is coming! Wanna help?
On Giving Tuesday, donors reject consumerism by showering love on nonprofit organizations. In Simbi’s first year as a nonprofit organization, we’d LOVE to make a Giving Tuesday splash!

New Feature: Send simbi credits directly!
Simbi members can now send credits directly to other members, no negotiation requred! It works a lot like Venmo or PayPal, but within the Simbi community. The memo line you add for the payment will even create a request listing in your account that you can re-use later.

Supporters keep Simbi alive!
Special thanks to new Supporters (recurring donors to Simbi) in October: Ian and Becca! To become a Simbi Supporter, just click on the prominent “Supporter” badge on your profile to get started — even $1/month helps greatly! (If you’re logged in to Simbi, just click here)

Volunteering with Simbi
Simbi needs the support of its entire community to stay strong and successful! In early 2021, Simbi was granted 501(c)(3) non-profit status in the United States. As a non-profit organization, we would love to get more volunteers aiding us in making Simbi the best it can be! Connect with other volunteers on our new Discord Server to let us know how you would like to assist and improve Simbi!
Simbi is also on Simbi! Check out our current requests to see how your skills could help improve the Simbi experience for everyone in the community!
|
Simbi volunteers now receive the brand new “helping hands” badge, designed by Simbi volunteer Qamar!

That’s a wrap! Stay tuned for next month’s newsletter, and reach out any time with questions or ideas to hey@simbi.com! Also, be sure to like and follow Simbi on your preferred social media!
